Annie was an unusual cat. As a kitten and continuing into her younger years, she was very mischievous. Often called ‘diabolical’, she liked to carry out her mischiv in full view of whomever was around. If she wanted to be let out, she would first notify us with a meow, as any cat would. If that did not get our attention in a timely fashion, she scratched the furniture until someone got up and opened the door for her. If there was a cup of water or other dish on the table, she would look directly at us to make sure she had our attention, and then knock the cup off the table. In her older years she became a little senile and liked to meow non stop for no discernable reason. It was always apparent how much she loved us though. She passed away at 16.
